WHAT IS STRAWBERRY HILL?

Strawberry Hill is a nature-based secular Homeschool Cooperative that combines the Traditional Pillars of Education, with the ability to follow your child’s pace and interests through Supplemental Learning. Guided by Waldorf Core Education Principals, we will explore play based activities in a low pressure natural learning environment.We are currently operating as a “Traveling Nature Based Co-Op” while our school cabin finishes construction. (Coming Fall 2026)

WHEN AND WHERE DOES THIS GROUP MEET?

Beginning September 2025 we will meet once a week for 2-3 hours at various parks and other nature based locations in the Northern Berkshires in Massachusetts.These locations and dates are predetermined and disclosed to Strawberry Hill Families at the start of each quarter, including our optional “out of town” field trip.

WHAT WILL MY CHILD LEARN?

This program is led by an early childhood educator with a passion for creativity, learning, nature, and honoring each child’s unique journey. Our Traveling Preschool Pod curriculum includes introduction to a range of topics we will cover in our 2026 year (following Massachusetts Standards PK-K.)Through nature based crafts, activities, and group free play- your child will learn about the plants, animals, insects, rocks and more living among us in the beautiful Berkshires. We will meet twice a week to follow a “daily rhythm” that creates space for both foundational learning and exploration wherever our interests take us.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There is a monthly co-op fee of $77 per student and an annual registration fee of $55 per family.Field trip costs vary depending on activity. Purchase of admission and transportation is required. We may be eligible for group or school discounts.

IS MY FAMILY A GOOD FIT FOR THIS PROGRAM?

If you love the idea of your child:-Practicing grip strength and exploring color while painting with berries…
-Developing bodily awareness through sorting rocks at the river…
-Tracking the change of the seasons and the phases of the moon…… all by your side, this program may be for you!*
This program is designed to fill a gap in Berkshire Education options and therefore will not be an ideal fit for every family. Your child must be between the ages of 3-6 and enjoy being outside and in nature (weather providing.)Our program will best fit a family who is intending to homeschool through primary grades, is looking for secular nature-based curriculum, and wants to play an active role in their child’s education. While parents are not expected to educate, we are seeking to develop a thriving community where each individual member’s skills are shared.This is NOT a drop off program.
